Everytime i try to use the backup feature to another computer on my network.
It keeps coming back access denied. But I have total access to destination

work it has failed everytime. I have a full version of windows vista. Its
like half the features dont even work. About the only good about windows

Which SKU of Vista do you have? Can you browse to the destination location?

I have the full version of Vista home premium oem build 6000. Frys
electronics built it. I can copy and paste to the location. But when I go to
do a system backup it asked me for a password (which the location is not
password protected. Then I put my user name and password in for that computer
and it starts to do it and even test the connection and right before the end
it says backup failed access denied.
any ideas

I am having the same problem. Vista 64 bit Business OEM. I can access my
network drive but cannot back up to it using Vista. I am able to do so using
the software that came with the network drive.

I just IMed Jill, who worked on Backup, and she's agreed to see if she can
help solve this issue. It may not be until tomorrow, however.
