Default Sharing 3 drives on Vista XP network

Hi
I have successfully set up my network to share 2 of my 3 hard drives with my
xp laptop with full permissions. However, the 3rd Hard drive will not share
with identical settings --- my xp laptop says that i do not have permissions
to that drive but those settings work for the other 2. The 3 Hard drives are
USB externals if that makes any difference.
Any help appreciated

Do you receive this error from the local computer or remote computer? You may need to take ownership over. This case study may help,

Administrator can't edit folder permissionsA: Assuming you logon as administrator and can't edit the permission, I would check the ownership first. To do that, right click on the file or folder. ...

Sorry that did not help at all but was a good idea to check that i missed out
--- i have full permissions and have set the sharing to read/write (All 3
check boxes in advanced checked). It has an identical setup as the other 2 as
far as ican see but fails to work.

Ok to share it i had to create the permission group everyone in the
security/advanced on the properties of the hard drive and give it fill
permissions. Dont understand why it didnt do it automatically like the other
2 but problem solved
