Default The "Open with" context menu

Hi, I have 2 issues I need help with.

Firstly - They say curiosity killed the cat well it has killed my "open
with" option in the right click context menu. I have managed to restore the
option but it has no function.

No matter what file type i click it is there but not options. On some files
there is a sub menu link to it but again this has no function. If i double
click a file with an unknown association then I get the open with window
allowing me to open the file with a list of programs, however the "Always
open with this program" check box is greyed out.

Secondly - I have also lost the "Run as administrator" option. I know this
can be done by entering the properties of the program but it has been a very
useful option in these early days of me using vista.

Can anyone help me restore the functionallity of the "Context menu"

Many thanks.

Hi badvoc,

What exactly you did to break (and then restore) the "open with" menu?
Have you tried a System Restore rollback?
