I have 3 computers in my home. I have 2 laptops with Vista Business ans a
desktop with XP Pro. My home network is up and running! Yea!!! My only problem is that When I am at my desktop computer running XP Pro, it asks for a user name and a password to access the my documents on 1 of the laptops. No password is required to assecc the my documents on the second laptop. (It works just fine) On the laptop that XP Pro is asking the username and password for, I have made sure that that laptop has the passoword stuff disabled in the Vista networking menu. SHa anyone else had this problem or have any solutions? Thanks! |

Agree with Robert - you'd see the same thing in other Windows workgroup
incarnations - the Laptop you are trying to access the files on needs a user account set up on it with the same username and password as you are using on the machine which is trying to access the files. -- John Franks MIScT, MIAP, MCSA, MCSE, MCDBA "Robert L [MVP - Networking]" wrote: You may need to create the same username in the laptop.
