Default SoundMAX Integrated audio for Vista..

Hi there,

Integrated Audio is recognized by Vista and a driver is installed, but after
running for a while sounds goes away and doesn't work unless machine is
restarted. Are there any updated drivers available for this problem?

Thanks,

Drazen

Same problem here on an Asus P5P800. No driver fix available right now. I'm
upgrading the MB soon, so I shouldn't need to worry about it much longer.
Still, it sucks!

Vista recognizes it as SoundMAX Integrated Digital Audio.. it is really an
onboard audio that comes with Asus P4P800-VM motherboard.

That board uses the AD1980 Audio Chipset which unfortunatly is pretty old
now and no longer supported. You can try searching for new drivers for the
codec rather than Soundmax as Soundmax is just a brand name of Analog
Devices which is the manufacturer of several Audio Codecs.
