Hopefully you will see this:

You are using a web interface that just leeches Usenet newsgroup posts, not
a real forum. Most of the people in the newsgroup don't see what you do
because we use real newsreaders. You will get far more out of this resource
if you learn to use a newsreader. There are many good newsreaders for
Windows, but you can use Outlook Express (XP) or Windows Mail (Vista) since
you already have it. Here are some links to information about newsgroups:

Default USB Browser Mouse Driver Error

The Dell mouse you are trying to install is a Logitech mouse and you can
get the driver from Logitech's web site. I've found that Dell optical
mouse will usually work with Windows native drivers EXCEPT on Sony VAIO
systems. I have 2 systems that exhibited this behavior. I was mightily
upset that a high-priced system like my Sony would not run a Logitech
mouse "out of the box". Windows native drivers just do not like the
Sony VAIO USB implementation.

Default USB Browser Mouse Driver Error

FWIW, MS just put out another update (or it just popped up again as
applicable to my system) on 28March09.

I could not find any .INF file with the described information.

Downloaded and installed IntelliType v 6.1 (even thouhg 6.3 also
available).

PROBLEM RESOLVED.

Thank you to all.

Default USB Browser Mouse Driver Error

Solution:

When the problem occurs (faulty or non-installation for generic USB mice),
leave it as it is and go to 'Control Panel', go to 'System and Maintenance'
and then 'Device Manager', you should see an 'unrecognised device'. Right
click and select 'update driver', select search your own computer, select the
tick box for 'compatible devices', select 'HID-compatible mouse' and the
device will immediately start to work. Then...

When working, connect to the internet and go back to Device Manager (if you
want to sort out the USB Browser Mouse problem completely) and under 'Mice
and other pointing devices' you will see your newly installed HID compliant
mouse, right click again and select 'update driver', this time it will search
online and re-install a non-faulty 'USB Browser Mouse' driver? (one which
somehow works this time) and it will then work well - or just leave it with
the 'HID-compatible mouse' driver (works just as well - 'HID' just being the
standard for compliant USB 'Human Interface Devices' / HID).

Best regards,

jon

Default USB Browser Mouse Driver Error

I got the following error while trying to install my usb dell optical

"Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error

USB Browser Mouse

An error occurred during the installation of the device

The driver installation file for this device is missing a necessary
entry.
This may be because the INF was written for Windows 95 or later. Contact
your
hardware vendor.

If you know the manufacturer of your device, you can visit its website
and
check the support section for driver software."

ANSWER:
-------------
This problem is usually observed in PC's with windows vista operating
system.
Probably you were using an old mouse prior to installing the new USB
browser mouse. This sometimes leads to conflicts in the hardware device.
The solution is as follow:
Prerequisite:
----------------
There should be a recovery drive in your system
Solution:
---------
1)Open "Device Manager" (obtain this from control panel)Mice and
pointing devicesright click on PS2 mouse & uninstall it.
The computer will prompt to restart.

2) Restart your PC with USB Browser mouse connected to the port of your
PC.
Upon log in ,the computer will reinstall the driver settings and
restart your PC.The USB Browser mouse should now be ready to use.
