I am trying to install the Pre-RC1 upgrade from within Beta2, and it fails
after copying 41% of the files. Booting directly from the ISO created disk won't allow an upgrade. Build 5384 has been running very well, except for recognizing TV Tuner cards (I've tried three.) Any ideas? Thanks, Dave |

Upgrade Install didn't work for me either. Your best bet is to Clean
Install Build 5536. "DSL-Dave" wrote in message ... I am trying to install the Pre-RC1 upgrade from within Beta2, and it fails after copying 41% of the files. Greetings to Microsoft Vista General message group-
In reply to this post: I upgraded over Vista Beta 2 with Pre RC1 Build5536 with no problems, except it took longer than a clean install, which is natural I assume-no setup errors detected. And for those who are mentioning that Trend Micro Vista Beta2 PC-cillin Vista Anti Virus doesn't work in Pre RC1, may I suggest uninstalling Trend Micro and then reinstalling it. Because it's working for me-all the features. Thanks for your time, Doug wrote in message ... Upgrade Install didn't work for me either. Your best bet is to Clean Install Build 5536. Upgrade from beta worked for me as well. Just one problem that confused me.
During the completing install phase, a dialog popped up complaining there is no disk and the upgrade halted. The dialog wouldn't go away until I eject the cdrom and closed the tray manually.
