Default Disappearing Soundcard, DVD drive and Internet Connection...

I've seen posts related to all three from my topic line, but instead opted in
putting my grievances in one post. I did post my problem on two other threads.

My Internet connection stops working or disappears inexplicably after waking
from "sleep" or "hibernation" mode. This is only resolving after several
reboots or disengaging the firewall with Vista.

Another problem, my audigy sound card worked with Vista beta 2 and RC1. I
installed it after purchasing Ultimate in early February. It was working
"fine" and then inexplicably disappeared and has reappeared but once since.

Lastly, my two optical drives have been away now for nearly seven days. I
tried seating the IDE cable in another slot, which worked, but unfortunately
ended up re-assigning my hard drive which of course is where all my program
files exist. Nice.

I tried a registry edit thingy my my optical disk, but that didn't work.
Reseating my sound card didn't work. Checking my BIOS hasn't helped.
I wonder whether they'll come back?
