Hi Craig,

In Windows Vista, defrag runs at very low priority. Any other programs
wanting to use the disk or CPU of your computer will get priority over
defrag. This allows defrag to run in the background once per week without
users noticing it.

15 hours seems a long time for a 60gig drive, but it really depends on 3
major factors:

1. How many files you have (not the size of your drive)
2. How fragmented your files and free space are
3. The activity of other programs in the system (as mentioned above)

Defrag will take less time the next time you run it, because the drive will
be less fragmented - the first defragmentation on a drive will generally
take the longest to complete.

If you find that defrag is consistently taking 15 hours to complete, please
contact me at .

Thanks,
Sam
