I've noticed since installing them, that even though Aero is working
overall, the task bar is no longer transparent. The window headers are as
well as the start menu however.

Wierd....any one else notice this?

100.65 vista drivers on the nvidia site.

big advance, you no longer get the this driver is not certified install
anyway? popup.

other than that same old same old. Dreamscene still drives 50% cpu at idle.
No noticable framerate improvement in games. Still can't overclock the gpu.

I was always an nvidia guy. Never considered ati but that has changed.
Nvidia drivers sucked throughout vista beta and a month after retail release
they still suck.

I have bought my last $400 nvidia card.

If you choose Geforce and TNT2 and choose Vista32, you're not going to be
offered the new drivers. You need to choose 8800 series and vista 32. Which
tells me, the drivers aren't for everyone.

From the readme file

Release Highlights:

a.. WHQL Certified driver for GeForce 8800, GeForce 7 series, and GeForce
6 series GPUs
b.. Beta driver for NVIDIA SLIT support for GeForce 8800 GTX/GTS GPUs
c.. This driver supports the following features:
a.. Single GPU support
a.. DirectX 9 support for GeForce 6/7/8 series GPUs
b.. DirectX 10 support for GeForce 8800 GPUs
c.. OpenGL support for GeForce 6/7/8 series GPUs
b.. NVIDIA SLI support
a.. DirectX 9 support for GeForce 8800 GPUs
b.. OpenGL support for GeForce 8800 GPUs
d.. DirectX 9 and OpenGL NVIDIA SLI support for GeForce 6 and 7 series
GPUs and

Mine (on 6600gt) is still transparent, except when a program window is
maximised.
