Default superfetch error window

Hi everyone, i picked up my new pc yesterday with windows home premium
pre-installed.

This morning i have recieved the error message that SUPERFETCH HAS STOPPED
WORKING. Im not too technically minded and found myself stupified. Has anyone
here had experience with this problem? Is there a solution? If so would you
be kind enough to share it with me please as i just cannot belive there would
be problems on a new system.

Thanks in advance

I do. If it's that new and malfunctioning, back it goes before it gets
worse!

Yes If the PC is not configured correctly from the store then take it back.
When you buy a pc you are supposed to be able to plug and play not
troubleshoot a configuration problem.

So can anybody tell me what might be causing the problem and suggest a
workaround?

Thanks Peter

Check and see if there is a system restore point already created by the PC
manufacturer prior to this problem occurring. If so then load the restore
point. If this fails then back to the store it goes.

there's no solution and there's no problem. vista does stupid things
once in a while - just restart and deal with it for now.
