Norton antivirus may as well be a virus itself.

I'm also behind a WRT54G router. Tried your command, got an "Ok.", but still
no luck accessing the web via IE. All other network apps (both intra and
internet) continue to work without a problem.

Eric,

Does the Weather Gadget work for you? This is one of the non-IE network
apps that doesn't for me.

I had a problems with many pages, which opened OK in Mozilla.

Could get into my bank, but not American Express.

Checking Use SSL 2.0 solved the problems.

I didn't try it, but I think it actually does use IE to fetch http info. I
did notice the feeds gadget didn't work.

I found your suggestion on another site to go into the Marvell controller
properties and disable "IPv4 Checksum Offload". This fixed the problem for
me, and now IE and its related applications all seem to be working correctly.
Thanks!

Today, I upgraded Beta 2 to 5536. My weather gadget works but I still
cannot ping past my Netgear router. Also, I was unable to load my banks
secure web page in IE7 (works on Firefox)...

Later,
Dave

Thank you, thank you. I had a very similar problem with the RC1 build
(5600). IPv4 Checksum Offload was already disabled, yet I still had the
problem. Some sites would load fine, others would just hang or fail to
resolve. I disabled both UDP and TCP checksum offload and the problems seem
to have gone away.

Cheers,
Greg Milligan
