I am having problems accessing other compters on my home network. i recently
upgraded to vista on 2 computers at home which were previously running xp and networked perfectly. the computers show up on the network but when i click on my brothers computer i get an error msg sayin 'access is denied', my brother can sometimes connect to my computer from his end but then he also gets the same error. iv enabled everything i can think of that could be restricting me. if anyone has any ideas then please let me know as this is really fristrating at the moment running up and down the house between the 2 computers just to share files. my brothers computer also has a printer which i could access from xp, im assuming as soon as i can access files that i should be able to access the printer aswell. my brother has a netgear wireless adapter in his computer which is frequently cutting off, when re-connecting it is fine until it happens again. the router is in my room and i use ethernet so i dont have a problem, but once again, when we had xp he had full connection and never had a problem. im hoping that once the drivers are complete that this will be sorted, but until then if any has any suggestions. any help would be much appreciated. thanks |
