My LG GSA-H21L DVD/CD burner doesn't recognize blank media
I bought the Home premium upgrade and now my LG GSA-H21L LightScribe burner
that came with my HP a1440n computer doesn't recognize blank media, it thinks the drive is empty. If I put a regular disk in the drive it will see it but any blank burnable disks it doesn't see and just asks to insert media when I try to burn something. And yes I'm using a Nero compatable version and I've checked HP's website for a driver/firmware update, nothing there. Hopefully someone here can help me out. Thanks! |

My LG GSA-H21L DVD/CD burner doesn't recognize blank media
You should check with HP to see if they have a firmware update. I know a
very similar model (GSA-H22L) needs a firmware update for full Vista compatibility. The GSA-H21L is an OEM HP model so I don't think the generic update will work. You'd need one specifically for the HP model. -- Kerry Brown Microsoft MVP - Shell/User http://www.vistahelp.ca "Kevin Potts" Kevin wrote in message ...
