I am very "computer challenged" and I'm not afraid to say so. However, I just
purchased this new laptop and I was very excited about having Vista but it has been nothing but horrible for me. It's so slow that I can do triple the amount of work on my husbands pc than I can on mine in the amount of time that it takes for things to load. I am trying to figure this out myself and I am getting nowhere. I tried logging in and getting help but it says that my product ID is incorrect so I tried other things. I found the events log and there are 623 events in there with headings like Critical!, Error!, and Warning. How can this be when the computer is brand new. Nothing has been added except for instant messengers. I need some serious help with this thing. I'm ready to send it back it's so frustrating. Any suggestions as to why this computer runs so slow even though it's brand new and why there are so many errors? |

Hi sharee, could you please tell us some of your system specifications as
this may help determine an answer. Just let us know Memory, processor, graphics card etc. Thanks. "Sharee31" wrote in message ... I am very "computer challenged" and I'm not afraid to say so. Sharee - I think it is essential that you send it back. It clearly isn't
fit for purpose. You've paid good money for that computer, and the retailer has a duty to make the product good. Even if you do somehow manage to sort it out, do you really want the retailer to get away with sending out rubbish? Thack |

This is a new computer. It should be running well. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |

I was thinking that I should send it back but I wasn't 100% sure. The driver
that is connected to the DVD system is not even compatible. I'm wondering how in the world they could load a program and it doesn't even work with all of the other programs that goes along with a new pc. Thank you for your reply. Same here, my new laptop came with vista and I have had 390 error as well as
critical events with no solutions available from the microsoft site...quite disappointing. "Sharee31" wrote: I am very "computer challenged" and I'm not afraid to say so.
