Default Identity can't save to external USB drive, need permission?

Vista PC with USB External drives

I have established a separate identity where I conduct business activity.
Both my main identity, and my business identity were set up as
administrators. When in my business identity, and I try to save a file to my
external USB drive, I get the message 'You don't have permission to save in
this location. Contact the administrator to obtain it'.

Unfortunately, I am the administrator and don't know how to grant the
permission? Assistance appreciated - IM

Answered my own question, in a roundabout way. Turning off the irritating
UAC Vista feature did the trick - IM
