Tools | Options | Advanced tab | Maintenance button | Store Folders button will show the location of the message stores. |

Make sure antivirus software is not set to scan email. See
www.oehelp.com/OETips.aspx#3 It appears to be causing huge problems for WinMail. steve "fedup2here" wrote in message ... Why doesnt it show my emails or any other folder? It would help if you gave a little more history. Is your problem
with the Windows Mail program, and if so, did it ever work for you? A first step would be to configure your anti-virus program to quit scanning email. If that doesn't fix the issue, you will have to delete the MessageStore using directions found elsewhere in this newsgroup. As a last resort you may have have to use web mail or an alternate email program until such time as the problems with Windows mail are sorted out. Gary VanderMolen "John" wrote in message ... Won't that leave me open to email viruses?

I don't know, I just lost and recovered all my folders when I transferred
them to this new system, I have alot of important folders, its just very frustrating to do all this work for such a new system and the ease it promised. What do you mean? Copy the folders and then delete the folders and re-put them in again? Thanks "DGuess" wrote: "fedup2here" wrote in message ... Why doesnt it show my emails or any other folder? I guess it is with the windows mail program. It works when it wants to.
Sometimes it won't delete, sometimes it wont show me whats in the folders, saying "nothing to view" and I know theres stuff there. Sometimes it wont send my emails saying"error". VERY, VERY frustrating. I'm afraid to change my virus setting, (and should I have to?) Windows Mail is a complete letdown "Gary VanderMolen" wrote: It would help if you gave a little more history. No. Read the link. Email scanning is completely redundant as all antivirus
software is sitting in memory ready to grab any attachment you open that might have a virus. You don't need it at all to scan email. Read the link below and read Frank's messages. steve "fedup2here" wrote in message ... Won't that leave me open to email viruses?
