I have a HYUNDAI Imagequest L90D+ monitor.
But vista cant recognize it and sets it to Generic PnP Monitor. It works fine ecept I cant change the refresh rate, its stuck to 60Hz. Are there any way to override the refresh rate? ps. I checked www.hyundaiq.com for vista drivers but they didnt have any. (I run vista 64-bit ulitmate) |

Bob In fact according to the web page on your monitor 60HZ is the correct refresh rate for all resolutions: Digital 640 x 480 @ 60 Hz 800 x 600 @ 60 Hz 1024 x 768 @ 60 Hz 1280 x 1024 @ 60 Hz http://www.hyundaiq.com/pro_L90D.asp# Bob |

My monitor can handle 75Hz at all resolutions and thats what I want.
At 60Hz all text is blurred. I just find it annoying that I cannot override the settings somehow. (I know it can damage your monitor if you set it to some strange refresh rate but I know that my monitor can handle 75Hz, and I want it to run with 75Hz) "Bob" wrote: "Bob" wrote in message ... It should be an ICM file which when installed tells Vista what type of monitor you have and its capabilities peter "Niclas" wrote in message ... You can also turn Clear Type on or off in Windows. I find with Clear Type on that my text is a little blurry, sharp as a tack with it off. Those are the only things that I'm aware of that will change how text looks on an LCD monitor assuming that the monitor is working correctly. Bob |
