I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, and Aero worked fine, until it just
disappered, and the theme changed to Basic. Aero is no longer on the theme-list. How can i get Aero back?? |

To reselect Aero, it is not a theme it is under Window Color and Appearance.
At the bottom of that page you will see, open classic appearance properties for more color options. On the next page Windows Aero should be your first selection. Select it and then select ok, it should be back. "Ulrik" wrote in message ... I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium, and Aero worked fine, until it just disappered, and the theme changed to Basic. Ulrik,
sometimes this happens to me, but i noticed when i am running itunes or other non-windows style applications it will say, windows vista basic theme changed for compatibility issues, it'll switch back to aero when you exit the app. -ronald "Ulrik" wrote in message ... Aero is not on the list in Window Color and Appearance. I found an aero-theme
file in C:\Windows\Resources\Themes, but when i open it it just shows the basic. "Dan" wrote: To reselect Aero, it is not a theme it is under Window Color and Appearance. I know, this happens to me sometimes too, but this time it didn't showed
anything, it was just disappered when I started my computer up. And the aero is not even there when i start my computer. And I tried to close and uninstall a lot of my programs, but the aero is still gone ): "Troy Warwick" wrote: If you notice _ Vista tells you this information on your taskbar the moment is switches to basic. .....Sometimes the answer is right under your nose... YES! I found the problem;
My colors had changed to 16 bit, where Aero needed 32 bit. I just changed it from 16 to 32 and Aero came back! Thanks for your help.
