Hi,
I'm unable to follow hyoerlinks in Outlook2007 e-mail messages. When I click on a hyperlink, I get and error: "This operation has been canceled due to restrictions in effect on your computer. Please contact your system admiistrator". I'm running Windows Vista Home Premium on a single-user PC, so I guess that makes me the SysAdmin, but I heven't a clue of what restriction there might be. This problem has just popped up and I have no idea what I may have done to cause it. Thanks |

Hi cwnidog,
The error message is misleading in this case, as this is a file/protocol association problem. Follow these steps: Click Start, Default Programs and click "Set program access and computer defaults". Click "Custom", select "Internet Explorer" and click OK. Close and re-open Microsoft Outlook. -- Regards, Ramesh Srinivasan, Microsoft MVP [Windows Shell/User] Windows® Troubleshooting http://www.winhelponline.com "cwnidog" wrote in message ... I have the same problem but that fix didn't work. What else can I do? Thank you, Stephen 1) You might try starting your own thread rather than continuing one that died in 2007. 2) See 1. |
