OK - I've figured out how to assign programs to files - simple, yet tedious.
The thing I can't figure out since the file type association interface is gone now, is how to customize your icons for certain file types. I created some icons for some of my audio files to help easily tell the difference between the formats instead of having a generic Windows Media Player file icon. But now I can't seem to be able to assign them in Vista. Any suggestions, or is this better relegated to the complaints/suggestions box for an update with Microsoft? |
