Default Links

Basic HTML a and /a tags. Or, if you're composing and HTML message in
Windows Mail, type the text (or short URL) that you want the user to see.
Select that text (or short URL), click the Create a Hyperlink button in the
formatting toolbar, and type the actual link in the second box.

It's a favorite technique of phishing scams, and one that the phishing
filter watches out for. You click a link that supposedly sends you to the
login page for your account. The page opens and looks exactly like the real
login page. You type in your username and password. It goes into the
scammer's database then they re-direct you to the real page. The scammers
now have your username and password so they can do whatever they please with
your accoung.

You can see where any link "really" points to by pointing to in the message.
If you don't see the actual link in a tooltip, you should see it in the
status bar.

I've seen people have links in their email that seems shorter than the
link
itself.
Instead of having the complete address, they'll have "click here" and it
will take them to the directed link.
How is this done?
