I kind of have the same problem. I'm using a notebook that came with Vista
Home Premium. Flip 3D used to work fine. I changed the desktop color scheme to something else and now when I try to change back to Windows Aero it changes to Windows Vista Basic instead. When I try the suggestions of Windows button/2, I get the rectangle (doesn't go away. The Alt/Tab does. I'm sure I've changed a setting, just not sure what setting. I want flip 3D back. I am using the Windows key, not ALT. Help. "Peter" wrote: When I Alt-Tab now I don't get the usual display but instead a rectangle in the centre of the screen containing miniature pics of the pages I have open. Time for a new video card maybe. It worked with my Vista Beta though so am puzzled. -- Peter Toronto, Canada XP Pro SP2 x 2 + Vista Ultimate P4 HT @ 3.00ghz, 4.0gb RAM, 700gb HDD |

Same here. I click the icon for flip 3d and get a small box in the center of
my screen with icons of the windows I have open. I did'nt change anything. Why would windows change itself? I've got a Sony Vaio with 2 gigs of ram and the latest Nvidea card, and it's a stand-alone card not shared with system ram. "Ray" wrote: I kind of have the same problem. Well gang, I finally figured out why my flip 3D wasn't working. Evidently I
downloaded and installed a program, Quicktime Player, that would only work in a lesser display setting than what Aero likes and the program was loading upon bootup. So check the taskbar icons beside the clock to see what programs are resident. Once I stopped Quicktime I was able to go into the display settings and change it to Aero. Thanks for this free exchange of information. You saved me from further bruising; as I was banging my head against the wall. Ray "Randy" wrote: Same here.
