When I Alt-Tab now I don't get the usual display but instead a rectangle in
the centre of the screen containing miniature pics of the pages I have open. Time for a new video card maybe. It worked with my Vista Beta though so am puzzled. -- Peter Toronto, Canada XP Pro SP2 x 2 + Vista Ultimate P4 HT @ 3.00ghz, 4.0gb RAM, 700gb HDD |

It may have turned Aero off on your desktop. You can right click the desktop
and go to personalization. Then on Theme, and change it to Aero. That should bring it back. Mine was doing the same this morning after Aero stopped. -- Dustin Harper http://www.vistarip.com -- "Peter" wrote in message ... Duh...I get the stupid prize. It's the Windows key not the alt key!!
Thanks. -- Peter Toronto, Canada XP Pro SP2 x 2 + Vista Ultimate P4 HT @ 3.00ghz, 4.0gb RAM, 700gb HDD "Robert Moir" wrote in message ... "Peter" wrote in message ... It was my fault...clicking Alt/Tab instead of Windows/Tab. Thx ;-)

"Peter" wrote in message ... Duh...I get the stupid prize. It's the Windows key not the alt key!! Thanks. Yes, alt+tab does the same thing it has done in just about all versions of Windows that I can remember, possibly even 3.1. The only thing is is that under Vista, alt+tab accomplishes that with a bit more graphic flourish. Depending on how your system is set up (I won't try to explain here) holding the Windows key and pressing the number 2 also brings up Flip 3d. However, unlike when you access it using Windows+tab, Flip 3d stays on your screen after you let up on the keys. You can scroll through the pages if your mouse has a wheel and you can pick which page you want to come up by clicking on it with the mouse pointer. |
