UAC prevents programs that require admin permissions from auto-starting in a
standard account. If you click Show For All Users in Defender and escalate your privileges, the those disabled buttons will be enabled. Also, which you're in Defender you can click its Help button and search the help for "block startup programs" for more info. "Phil" wrote in message ... I tried to follow your instructions, and couldn't find any "show for all
