hey
i installed vista on my computer but it did't installed my LAN i.e. "ADMtek AN983 10/100 PCI adapter " driver automatically . I installed the driver through a cd which came with it , but the driver which i installed was not compitable with vista but it was compitable with windows XP ... so please can you tell me from where i can download the drivers which are compitable with windows vista ... thanks , tousif |

(if your NIC is onboard) or from the NIC mftr.'s website. If there are no drivers for Vista and the XP ones won't work, if you have a desktop simply throw in a PCI NIC that you know is compatible with Vista. Basic NIC's are under $20. Also, try going to Device Manager (Start "devmgmt.msc"), right-clicking
your NIC, and selecting "Update Driver..." Have Vista check the CD or any folder the driver installer created including subfolders; you can usually use an XP driver with Vista, but many installation programs refuse to install on a version of Windows they don't recognize. You can bypass that by letting Vista install the driver.
