Default remove write protection

I have a flash drive and am trying to backuo, but vista home premium tells me
i must remove write protection. Advice on how to do this

Default remove write protection

Check the drive for a write protect switch. Read the manual that came with
the drive to see if it has software that may enable/disable writes.

If you have a Memorex drive this may apply: (recall of bad units)
