Default No CD Rom Drives

Hi Guys
I just reinstalled Vista Home premium and lost my 2 DVD drives.
They are in device manager but windows won't bring them up.
I remember reading in these news groups how to fix that in the
regestry but forgot how.
Can someone tell me how you delete the upper and lower filters.
And is that what I have to do?
Thanks
Carl G

Hi Martyn
I went in the regestry to delete the upper and lower filters , but there
were no upper filters enterd there , but there was lower filters , so I
deleted those. Closed regestry and rebooted and I still had no DVD drives in
Vista but they were in device manager.
So I did a hard shutdown ,(pulled the plug from the wall) and restarted and
all was well.
Hope this is of use to someone.
