Default sound disappear

If it's a SoundMax onboard sound card, then it's normal right now. Still
waiting for updated drivers... I'm in the same boat with my Asus P5P800 with
onboard sound. I'm about ready to pick up a cheap sound card that DOES work.

I had soundmax onboard with same problem. I have installed a SoundBlaster
x-if and have almost the same problem. Current state of audio in Vista
appears to be very flaky.
