I had my system running 32 Vista Business, I was rating a 5.1 on my CPU and a 5.9 on my Memory. I just bought Vista 64 bit Ultimate and installed it clean, with my drivers in place my CPU is 5;0 and my memory is 5.0. The CPU drop is minor and of no real concern but that is a fairly serious drop in memory speed. -- Computer-Ed ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Computer-Ed's Profile: http://www.vista64.net/forums/member.php?userid=1699 View this thread: http://www.vista64.net/forums/showthread.php?t=47231 |

The memory score measures the bandwidth of moving data into and out of memory in mega bytes per second as well as the amount of memory installed. This means that the amount of memory is a limiting factor on performance. As a result, the amount of memory in the system can constrain the score value. You probably have 2GB or more of RAM and since the maximum amount of memory in Vista Business 32bit is limited to 4GB and the maximum amount in the 64bit version is limited to 128+GB, this is likely the reason for the lower memory score. -- Ronnie Vernon Microsoft MVP Windows Shell/User "Computer-Ed" wrote in message ...
