had vista about a week now. came with new laptop, installed. ran well for
about 4 days. now everything is crazy. some programs will not open. other
windows open but the entire center appears transparent showing only the
border. programs appear randomly (sometimes not there) in the sys tray.
when i click on something (this text box for example) the entire window
either max/minimizes making editing anything a nightmare. it looks like a
terrible virus, but i have been running defender and liveone care both of
which show nothing remarkable. this laptop should be equipped well-enough to
run vista. i cannot use many of the functions in vista help because of these
problems. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

i just wanted to add to the above message. i am also unable to open the
control panel and i cannot run a search. so, i'm not sure if i can run
system restore. i have no idea what to do.

I CAN'T GO ON ... NEED TO REMOVE VISTA AND INSTALL ANOTHER OPERATING SYSTEM
