Default Windows Aero is Missing

Try this:

Right-click the desktop and choose Personalize.

Click Theme and choose Windows Vista.

Click OK.

Click Window Color and Appearance.

You should see the Aero options for controlling color and transparency. And
the Flip 3D thing should work too.

Hi, I've just bought a brand new laptop Aspire 5584WXMi installed with
Vista
Home Premium about 1 month ago. I was able to use the 'Window Switcher' to
do
the 3D flipping but I do not know what happened few days ago and I am
unable
to do this anymore. The screen just did not flip but a box with few icons
(those screens that I was using eg. IE, MSN etc) would appear when I
clicked
on the 'Window Switcher' icon. In other words, I am unable to do the 3D
flipping.

Also, I looked at my 'Window Color and Appearance', only the 'Appearance
setting' box came out. The color setting option is missing.

It is weird that the program would just disappear by itself. May I know
what can I do to restore the function of Window Aero?

Thanks heaps!

still couldnt make the 3D flipping works.

Did you install Quicktime? That seems to be a problem for some users.

it went crazy in the afternoon... I don't think I've downloaded any programs
on that day...
