Cannot delete offline files

I have Vista Business attached to SBS 2003 SP1 with the Vista updates
installed. Offline files are working fine and syncing fine except that I have
offline files to a directory that no longer exists on the server. I cannot
delete from the Control Panel - I ask to delete offline files but they just
remain there. Thanks for any help.
