You're likely to get an answer faster if you post the full error message.
Mentioning your internet service provider (usually found after the @
in your email address) and what email program you are using can also

You may need to check with your internet provider on how to set up your
email account. It's likely to be shown somewhere on their web site.

If that doesn't help, cut and paste the entire error message here so we
don't have to show you the very long list of possible causes.

You may have a stuck message in your Outbox. Check to see by trying to
either delete or move them. If you do, then read the "First" section in
this tutorial about antivirus programs to help prevent this from
happening again, then install the KB941090 Microsoft Update in the
"Second" section to fix the stuck message problem.
