Hi,

The internet connection stops for any applications that are connected to the
internet when i am away from the PC after the screen saver has come on.

And I have already unticked the option to "turn off the network adapter to
save power" in the Device Manager; and
properties of the connection found at Internet Options - connections -
properties,but there is no setting available to change,as i have an adsl
connection.

How do i stop the internet connection stopping? It doesnt happen in XP,only
in Vista

You're not alone. I'm getting the same thing even when im not away. i'll
have my Instant messengers running and then i notice that they are all cut
off suddenly. ill be surfing and ill be temporarily cut off.

ive thought it was the same thing, unticked the power saver options. but to
no success. ive set up static ip, ive set up a DNS, played with the firewall,
did some push-ups, some back-flips, and still can't figure out what to do.

ive been playing around with trial and error throughout all the obvious
settings
and now i dont know what else to do either.

it only started happening recently in vista.
