Default Adding more ram telling me to activate again

I had 1 gig of ram in my computer and wanted to add another one..so i bought
another gig to add and when i did add it, it says i have three days to
activate windows, but i have already activated windows and when i try and
type in my key gen again it says it is already in use..so i took the gig of
ram back out and it says windows is activated..if anyone could please help me
out i would GREATLY appreciate it..

Call the activation center and explain what upgrades you have recently
installed and they will help you clear the problem up.

That's weird it is asking you to activate with such a small upgrade (and MS
should have known people would be upgrading RAM a lot after Vista!). I think
the activation scheme is not quite right. Some people can add RAM, new hard
drive and CD-ROM and nothing. Someone else adds RAM and boom! Reactivation.

You should just be able to call the MS activation # that it gives you and
let them know what happened and get it activated with no problems.

At least it's not as bad as Symantec software. All I did was update my
chipset drivers from the Vista installed ones to the latest Nvidia chipset.
This renamed my IDE controllers. Symantec then "assumed" that I was trying
to install the software on more than 1 PC. At least you can reason with MS,
whereas Shystermantec just kept telling me I had broken the EULA !.
