Call the activation center and explain what upgrades you have recently
installed and they will help you clear the problem up. -- Richard G. Harper [MVP Shell/User] * NEW! Adding more ram telling me to activate again
That's weird it is asking you to activate with such a small upgrade (and MS
should have known people would be upgrading RAM a lot after Vista!). I think the activation scheme is not quite right. Some people can add RAM, new hard drive and CD-ROM and nothing. Someone else adds RAM and boom! Reactivation. You should just be able to call the MS activation # that it gives you and let them know what happened and get it activated with no problems. -- Dustin Harper http://www.vistarip.com -- "veritas7333" wrote in message ... Adding more ram telling me to activate again
At least it's not as bad as Symantec software. All I did was update my
chipset drivers from the Vista installed ones to the latest Nvidia chipset. This renamed my IDE controllers. Symantec then "assumed" that I was trying to install the software on more than 1 PC. At least you can reason with MS, whereas Shystermantec just kept telling me I had broken the EULA !. "Dustin Harper" wrote in message ...
