Default Link Sys 2.4 GHz Wireless NEtwork

Alright I am running a windows xp professional on my base computer and I've
got it connected to the wireless router via CAT-5 and I have an internet
connection. And now I've recently purchased a laptop with a wireless network
card for the link sys 2.4 GHz router and for whatever reason I cannot connect
to the network on my laptop.
All the software is installed on the laptop for the router, and I cannot
connect.

Are you able to see the wireless network when viewing the networks?

A friend of mine had a similar problem, he had to access the wireless router
settings via the the LAN connection in order to setup the wireless. Have you
tried that from your desktop?
