i have a computer that has an amd sempron in it, and i am thinking about
upgrading my processor to a dual core, i know it can be done, my motherboard supporst the x2's and fx processors, (socket 939) but i was told i would have to repurchase windows if i upgrade that, is that true, i run windows vista ultimate, and that would be very bad, considering i would have to purchase it all over agian...any thougts? |

Nope. At the most you would have to reactivate Windows, but that is easily
done. It should do it over the internet, otherwise it's a toll free call to Microsoft and a quick chat telling them that you upgraded your processor, and they reactivate it for you.
