Default SATAI HD to SATAII HD ?

Hello,
I am running vista ultimate 64bits on a SATAI 80 Gb HD. I would like to
upgrade it to a SATAII 500Gb HD by cloning. I have also a IDE 160Gb HD that I
use for archiving data. I never done this before and I would like to have
suggestions on the best way to do:

Is this would be ok (from what I gathered from this forum):

1 - disconnect a data IDE HD
2 - connect the new SATAII HD
3 - start OS
4 - Clone SATA1 HD to the new SATAII HD using acronis TrueImage 10
5 - shut down - remove old SATAI HD - replace with new SATAII HD
6 - start OS: should boot ok ?
7 - reconnect the IDE data HD

Now I would like to use the old SATAI HD as a second data HD = if I
reconnect it I will have 2 OS on 2 HD - would it be a problem ?

Thanks for the advices,

Bertrand
