Hi all, just wondering if anyone knows why both my optical drive have very very poor tranfer peromance, it takes over an hour to transfer 1 dvd of info to my hard drive (currently running at 634kb/s). transfering between hard drives is fine, so i am fairly certain it is the optical performance which is pants! been through the bios looking for anything which may help, but nothing, so i feel it is a problem within vista. any ideas? -- dai154 |

Is it running in DMA or PIO mode? Check the optical device properties in device manager. -- Rock [MS-MVP User/Shell] |
