Default Adding a PCI wireless card to a desktop computer

I just got a new Dell desktop computer with Windows Vista Home Premium on it.
I need to add a PCI wireless card to be able to connect to the internet. The
brand I got was NetGear. At the store they told me it was compatible, but
every time I tried to add the card, Vista said it was not compliant and so it
basically shut down the process of loading the driver. I spoke with the
people at NetGear and they were not very helpful. I got it at BestBuy and was
surprised that none of these cards said they were "Vista Ready." Now the
machine is essentially useless.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Bob

How about providing the model number of the card?
Does Netgear have a Vista driver on their website?
