Default Linksys EtherPCI II NIC driver not found

I was just able to get this card working with a driver from www.winbond.com.
I googled the driver that XP had loaded for the network card, which was
W89C940. That gave me a link to the winbond site. I downloaded it and
forced the driver update. It works. I'm on right now with it. If you can't
find it, post back with your email and I'll send the driver to you.

I was getting the same error as you so I'm pretty sure this will work.

I just installed build 5536 on my local PC which uses a Linksys EtherPCI II
network card. The driver was not found during installation and is currently
disabled. I downloaded the driver package from linksys and tried to update
it manually, but I recieve the following error:

Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while
attempting to install it.
The required line was not found in the INF.

Any help would be appreciated.
