I am using Vista Home Premium, and I am having problems with Vista
intermittently "blocking" access to the internet. Without any warning, internet surfing and email checking will just stop. I get page errors from IE and server connection errors from Outlook. The strange part is that I am still connected to the router, and Vista shows that I am connected to the internet. Stranger yet, my Vonage phone service, which is connected to my LAN port which shares the internet connection though the wireless adapter, continues to work. I even connected my laptop (Windows XP Pro) to the LAN port, and Vista issued it an IP address and it was able to surf the internet. So my computer is connected to the internet, however, Vista somehow is not allowing me to surf the internet. I don't have any firewalls (turned off Windows Firewall) or anti-virus running to make sure they weren't causing the problems. Like I said, this happens randomly without warning. Can anyone help with this? |

BigE,
I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble. What error are you seeing in IE? What happens when you run "Diagnose my connection..." in the IE window error message?
