GetAvailableVidMem() returns DDERR_NODIRECTDRAWHW
Hi
The problem details a Setup: -------- I have a Windows Vista Home Premium machine with Intel Graphics card. The DirectX version 10. Problem: ------------- When I run my application which uses the API GetAvailableVidMem the application gives an error "A hardware only DirectDraw object creation was attempted but the driver did not support any hardware." Analysis: -------------- When I run dxdiag.exe on my machine,in the Display Tab it shows me DirectDraw Accleleration and AGP Texture Acceleration-Not Avialble.I think the problem is because of this(I think so because when a disabled DirectDraw Accleleration on another machine with Windows Xp and DirectX 9.0C it gave me the same error) Help Required: ---------------------- Am I thinking in the right direction? How do I overcome this problem? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- -Vikram |
