Default Broadcom 802.11g wireless adapter....I need answers

OK I have seen this question asked on here at least three different times
now, nad no one has given a good answer yet. I have an HP pavilion zd8000
with a broadcom 802.11g wirless adapter. I just upgraded to vista and ever
since I done this I keep losing conection. For no reason at all I will be in
the middle of downloading or surfing the net and the wireless just drops. If
I check for a wireless network it shows mine is there and has a great signal.
I have checked the devise but it shows everything is fine and running right.
Sometimes after I lose the connection and get back on it will be very slow,
and I have to reboot to get it back to full speed. IS there a new driver I
need, is there something in the settings I need to do? As I said I am not
the only one with this problem, I have seen many others asking the same
question. I tried to check for drivers with HP but they keep asking for my
model number abd then tell me that there are no drivers for vista, for my
model. I ran the vista upgrade check before upgrading and it showed
everything was ok to upgrade. I have a P4 3.8gig, 1 gig or ram, 120 gig hard
drive. Dont tell me that is not enough. Everything else is working great
other than the wireless.

tsummitt,

I'm sorry you're experiencing trouble. You should definitely check for
updated drivers and firmware for your adapter and wireless router. Also,
once you have lost connection, please go to Network and Sharing Center, then
Manage network connections, then right click on the wireless adapter and
click "Diagnose". Tell us what it returns; what repair you choose, and the
outcome.

Finally, run your router through a quick test at
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/usi...d/default.mspx

Please post back.
