Default Access Denied error message

I have a Konica 1350W connected by USB to a XP Home machine. I have shared
out the printer and also a couple of folders. This is connected through a
wireless network.

On my Vista laptop I can connect to and roam through the XP machine. But
when I try to connect to the printer to add it to the laptop, I receive an
error message that "Access is Denied".

Okay, what am I doing wrong? If I cna get into the rest of the XP machine
why the error?

What are the security settings on the printer shared from the XP Home
machine?

Printer, Properties, Security

Verify Everyone is allowed Print rights.

Also on the XP machine, verify that the Guest account is enabled since you
do not require passwords (it sounds like it already is).

Also from the Vista machine, you should be able to view the directory
contents of the print$ share on the XP machine
dir \\XPmachinename\print$

If you do not get the directory list then you will need access to this to
get the driver files.
