Default GoToMyPC or Vista Ultimate?

I'm interested in the ability to securely connect my home PC similar to how I
connect to my work computer with GoToMyPC. The Vista Ultimate support
information mentions remote access to corporate infrastructure, but I'm not
sure it that's equivalent to remote access to my home PC. Can anyone clarify
if Vista Ultimate will do what I'm interested in... and if not, what would
you suggest (preferably less expensive than using GoToMyPC)?

Vista Ultimate includes Remote Desktop host functionality. That means you
can access your desktop from anywhere and control it just like you were
sitting in front of it at home. See this page for basic help. It was written
for XP but the functions are the same...

The bottom line is you need to open TCP Port 3389 on any firewall or router
your home PC is behind. Call the home PC using the public IP of your router.
