Hi everyone may help I read from vista help information, it say that if vista wants see XP from the same network, it should op UDP and TCP, please tell where and how to open them, thanks Grace File and Print Sharing should be enabled on the Windows Firewall on each PC. That will open the appropriate ports. On each PC open the Firewall and make sure the File and Print Sharing check box is checked in the Exceptions tab. http://www.microsoft.com/technet/com...uy/cg0106.mspx http://www.microsoft.com/technet/com...uy/cg0204.mspx Also make sure NetBIOS over TCP/IP is enabled on each PC... http://www.practicallynetworked.com/...hoot/netbt.htm -- Al Jarvi (MS-MVP Windows Networking) Please post *ALL* questions and replies to the news group for the mutual benefit of all of us...
