I found that link earlyer but the fix did not work for update and I have not
tryed instant messageing so they may work on that gut I need to ge able to
use Windows update

Ignore what I posted. I just realized I posted that in the Vista group and
Vista doesn't have IE6.

I've never tried that script in Vista and don't know if it would fix
anything. I don't believe it would hurt anything either but I can't say
100%
