Default File Access Problem

I have a Home network with a "wired" XP Desktop, linked to a Vista Laptop via
a wireless connection, all updates are current. I am attempting to share
files from the XP to the laptop, files have been shared to network computers
both are in the same workgroup, the XP is not password protected the Vista
machine is. The shared XP files are "visible" from the Vista machine, however
when click, I get an access denied flag? Suggestions for how to resolve the
problem are apprectiated, TKS,
